Security of large scale events
Large scale events entail many dangers and challenges. Starting from violent incidents, including danger from overcrowding and congestion, up to the hostile terrorist activity. Therefore, the planning and security of the event and all that is associated with it are mandatory in every large scale event.
What is a large scale event:
The term “large scale event” usually refers to events of over 500 participants, held in an open area under the sky. A large scale event can be a cultural event such as a performance or concert, a sports event, a community event, and even private events such as weddings, fundraising evenings, etc.
What does the security package for large scale events secured by Avigdor 226 include?
The security package is divided into several circles:
The wide circle, which includes experienced, professional, and courteous ushers and security guards, who are involved in controlling and regulating entry and exit to the complex. In addition, their role is also to prevent the entry of unauthorized parties and entry with prohibited or unapproved substances (weapons, alcohol, drugs, etc.).
After entering the event complex, the guests will meet with the inner circle, which includes ushers dealing with the prevention of life-threatening overcrowding, the prevention of violence, and providing service to the participants.
The tight circle is responsible for everything that is related to crowd control and verification and that the enclosure is a safe area to be. It includes ushers who create dividers to manage the crowd flow and that there is a safe distance between the participants and the performing artist/main guest/main stage. This is all part of the responsibility of the tight circle. The role of the tight circle is to prevent participants from bursting onto the stage and to prevent contact with the guest/performing artist, and includes security guards and ushers who closely accompany and secure the guest/performing artist throughout the course of the event.
The security of large scale events begins and ends in our operational intelligence, which is managed by the field security manager. The field security manager is involved in the project of planning the security from the beginning until the last one of the participants leaves the event premises. The planning of the event takes place both at the operational and technical level, and also at the intelligence level.
During the event, the security manager on behalf of Avigdor 226 deals with the management of the security event on all its levels, and ensures proper coordination between all the security circles with the relevant parties in the field: The Israeli Police department, the producers of the event, the emergency and rescue forces, and more.

The security of large scale events is divided into several stages:
Preliminary planning. This is done in advance, depending on the nature of the event.
Briefing all of the relevant parties. This is done on the day of the event, a few hours before the gates open.
Opening the gates and receiving the guests.
The entrance of the VIP.
The main event.
The departure of the VIP.
Departure of the guests, locking of gates, summary and end of the event.
